CHANS Hospice Care - Mid Coast Maine

When someone in your family has a life threatening illness that could result in death, CHANS Hospice is there for you. We can provide the care, medications, and medical equipment that is necessary for a patient to remain at home at this critical time.

You may already know our home health care nurses and office staff. Your physician knows us too, and that makes accessing our services both easy and comforting. You should also be aware that CHANS Hospice services are generally covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance.

What is CHANS Hospice?

CHANS Hospice provides care to the terminally ill. We provide you with pain medication, symptom control, and equipment and supplies you need such as beds, wheelchairs and other medical equipment.

CHANS Hospice are a resource--a team of healthcare professionals who work with you to develop and provide a comprehensive, individualized plan of care. We'll provide the support and respite you need and involve you and your family in the direct care of your loved one.

CHANS Hospice team is available, on call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provide it 24-hour pharmacy access on call as well.

We also work collaberatively with the Hospice Volunteers of Midcoast Maine which provides complementary, non-medical care.
