Hospice Care Payment
CHANS Hospice Care is Medicare and Maine Care
certified. The Medicare Hospice benefit covers
medical care provided by CHANS Home Health Care
staff, supplies, equipment and medications related
to the terminal illness. Other insurances cover
Hospice Services as well, although the covered
services may differ from those covered by Medicare
and Maine Care.
CHANS Hospice staff will be happy to explain
to the patient and the family the benefits covered
by the patient’s insurance policy(ies).
