child's pediatrician. |
Maternal and Child Health Program
Maternal Child Health is a program of home health
nurses and physical, occupational, and speech
therapists with specialties in obstetrics and/or
pediatrics. Staff members visit pregnant women,
new babies and mothers, children, and teens requiring
medical and/or therapeutic treatment at home.
- childhood medical problems such as cancer, developmental
syndromes, asthma, and diabetes
- administering of medications, injections,
IV therapy, central line care and lab work
- care of wounds
- health care and medication education and
follow-up
- high risk pregnancy follow-up
- speech and language development
- fine and gross motor development
- torticollis
- prenatal and postpartum care
- breast feeding support
- infant and child growth and development assessment
and treatment
